Your Flower Care Instructions
To extend the life of your flowers, it is essential to:
Select an appropriate vessel once your flowers arrive ensuring that it can contain all stems and that it is not top heavy. Clean the vessel with warm water and bleach. Fill the vessel with clean fresh water 3/4 of the way. Add the floral preservative supplied to the water and stir.
Unwrap the flowers supplied and dispose of paper in the recycle bin and you may wish to re-purpose the ribbon.
Trim 2cm diagonally off the base of all stems including foliage and place them in clean water. With the foliage, if the stems are woody, you will need to split the stem at the base to ensure that water can be absorbed.
Remove all leaves that will be under the water as they contain bacteria and will spoil the water.
Regular clean the vessel, change the water, add fresh floral preservative and re-cut the stems 2cm diagonally from the base of the stems every second day.
Position blooms away from direct heat, drafts and sunlight.
As some blooms will last longer than others, carefully remove spent blooms from the display.
